DEXM partnered with Guernsey Arts to deliver a new Umbraco Cloud website that strengthens their digital presence and makes it easier for islanders to discover events, explore local talent and engage with the arts across the Bailiwick.

Guernsey Arts plays an important role in promoting, supporting and inspiring creativity within the community. Their website acts as a central hub for events, exhibitions, artists and news, helping connect people with the vibrant arts scene across the islands.

The organisation required an upgraded platform that could support a large and growing volume of content while delivering a faster and more intuitive experience for users.

Working closely with Guernsey Arts, we developed a new Umbraco Cloud website with performance and usability at its core.

A key part of the project was managing a large scale migration of existing content, including thousands of event listings, exhibitions, news articles and artist profiles. Preserving this archive while improving the structure and usability of the content was a crucial part of the project.

Managing a large archive of more than 4,000 events meant performance and content organisation were central to the project. The new website provides a faster and more intuitive browsing experience while giving the Guernsey Arts team a clearer and more manageable content structure.

Particular focus was placed on user journeys and content pathways, making it easier for visitors to discover upcoming events, explore local talent and navigate between the many different areas of the website. The result is a clearer and more intuitive experience that better supports how users engage with Guernsey Arts online.

The final solution delivers a faster and more scalable platform that supports both the day to day management of content and the long term growth of the organisation’s digital presence.
